Our design and innovation studio is a short walk from the location of the new Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center, in the heart of one of the leading biomedical, health-care and technology regions in the nation. It’s not surprising that the medical industry has grown to be the largest segment of SmartShape’s design, prototype and manufacturing business.
While the underlying technology of medical devices and equipment becomes increasingly advanced and complex, we use design to make them more approachable and intuitive for health care professionals. And with the dramatic rise in home-based, self-delivered healthcare, it is imperative that the devices we design are extremely easy to use and difficult to misuse. We feel it’s a privilege to develop products that improve the quality of life, and even saves lives, and we’re passionate about this segment of our work.
